Anne O’Brien

Chair

Anne has worked in leadership and governance across a verity of roles including NHS and Chair of a Diocesan Safeguarding Commission. Anne is also a magistrate so see the impact of poor and positive safeguarding day to day as well as at a strategic level.  


Fr David Smolira SJ

Non-executive Director

David is a Religious of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). He was the provincial of the Order for 10 years. Is a trained Social Worker and Psychotherapist and has worked in safeguarding for more than 30 years. 


Sr Ellen Flynn DC

Non-executive Director

Ellen is the current provincial of The Daughters of Charity of St Vincent De Paul. Ellen has been involved with the current restructuring of safeguarding since it began in 2019. Ellen brings safeguarding knowledge from other countries being involved in Scottish and Australian safeguarding structures. 


Marcus Erooga

Non-executive Director

Marcus is an independent Safeguarding Consultant and past Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editor of the Journal of Sexual Aggression (Taylor and Francis) as well as a past Chair of NOTA (the National Organisation for the Treatment of Abusers). He spent the majority of his employed career in various roles at the NSPCC.
