Use of complex language is not conducive to a relaxed and trusting atmosphere.  It can serve to reinforce any perceived position of inferiority. The person offering Spiritual Accompaniment should use language appropriate to the directee’s personal circumstances and take into account their age, intellectual understanding and any other factor that could affect their perception of the developing relationship.
