Aims
Throughout the course we will be:
- Reflective – it is vitally important to acknowledge the past and the hurt that has been experienced by many people
- Preventative – we will ensure we are aware of those we need to safeguard
- Proactive – we will understand the types and signs of abuse
- Responsive – we will know how to show empathy and professionalism in our responses in order to instil confidence
- Positive – we will recognise that good safeguarding knowledge allows us to continue with all the work we do and that we should not be afraid to talk about it
- We will recognise all the good safeguarding actions that are already present
